Start Times
The triathlon will begin at 10am, Transition will be closed at 9:45am sharp it is recommended that competitors arrive at 9am to have ample time to register and set up their bikes in the transition areas
No cars will be able to enter or leave the course during the event
Catergories
There will be medallions on offer to place getters of the following categories in the main triathlon
Male 15-21 Female 15-21 (Junior)
Male 22-39 Female 22-39 (Open)
Male 40-+ Female 40+ (Senior)
Teams
Due to very strict conditions imposed on us regarding times of road closures we are unable to run a kids race at this years event
All individual entrants will receive a free race singlet (click here for singlet preview)
The Course The Transition area will be located at the Yacht Club Carpark.
Swim will begin at the breakwater. Competitors will swim out 150m to the first bouy then north 100m towards the surf club then 150m back to shore.
The ride course will be 4 laps around a 4.75km course. The course will be Viaduct Road, Stanley Street, MacDonald Street, Pickering Point, Thunder Point, MacDonald Street, Stanley Street, Viaduct Road
The run course will be Viaduct road to Pertobe Road roundabout then take rail trail up behind the woolen mill and around the back of Lake Pertobe to the Flying Fox. Take tunnel under Pertobe Road into Surfside 1 caravan park then turn right and head through caravan park up ramp to the surf club, Promenade back to Breakwater, Finish will be at Transition. The entire ride course will be closed for bike riders however competitors need to be aware that they are competing on the public road and all normal road rules apply. No cars will be allowed on the course however competitors need to be aware of rouge cars that may have strayed onto the course.

Accommodation
The Warrnambool Surfside Holiday Park offers 3 1/2 star cabins as well as tent and caravan sites. Best of all the park is situated just 500m from transition. Mention you are in Warrnambool for the triathlon and receive a 10% discount on the rate

Road Closures
Please note that all roads within the course will be closed. All competitors and spectators should park inside the shipwreck holiday park (surfside 2) Once cars are parked people should walk 300m along the Promenade to the transition area. Competitors should try and get to transition area to register before 9am
Entries
This year competitors will have the opportunity to enter before the event. Entries can be made in person at either Warrnambool Caravan Repairs (Hyland Street) or Hetherington Engineering (Silverton Park) from 9am to 5pm. Entry forms will be available from these business' and either cash or cheque will be accepted. Alternatively entries can be made by downloading a entry form (link below) and sending it with a cheque to : Warrnambool Tri Club, P.O.Box 169, Warrnambool, VIC 3280.

Results
Results will be posted on the Warrnambool Triathlon Club website. Unfortunately we are unable to record splits for each leg but we can provide overall time ,overall place and category place
